Portraits or Still Life
Portraits
I would like to capture my children’ s Portraits for this project. I would like to portray a rawness and edgy feeling to the photographs, by using the concrete in my basement for my background with a variety of lighting sources; such as room light, lamps and window light. I would also like to try and play with the contrast filters and toners for different effects.
Portraits
Portraits of my children; Damyn, Tianna, Kory, Owen.
Photographs were captured in my basement. I used the white wall and grey cemented floor as the background, while they sat on a 2ft x 1ft x 1ft wooded block. using a 3.5 Aperture and 8th of a second shutter speed.

Kory is a Shy, quiet and reserved young man who has a quirky and fun side that only comes out around people he cares about and is comfortable with. It took me a few photographs and his dad making him laugh, but I was able to capture his quiet side as well as his fun and quirky side in these three photographs.
